Seera Samba Ghee Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Seeraga Samba Rice
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Cinnamon
- 4 Cardamom
- 3 Cloves
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 3 Green Chillies
- 2 tsp Garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup Coconut Milk
- ½ cup Water
Process of making:
- Soak and drench the seera samba rice for 30 min.
- In a saucepan, heat the oil. Season with whole spices.
- Saute the onions and chilies till they are golden.
- Combine in the rice extensively.
- Mix in the coconut milk, water, salt, and garam masala powder till just merged.
- Bring to a simmer and then decrease to a low flame for 15 min.
- Turn off the heat and transfer to a bowl.
- Mix in ghee thoroughly.
- Serve hot with your preferred curries.
