INGREDIENTS
- Little millet - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Mint leaves - 1 cup
- Coriander leaves - ¼ cup
- Green chillies - 2 or 3 depends upon the spice level
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped onion - 1
- Cinnamon stick - 1 small
- Bayleaf - 1
- Clove - 2
- Chopped or grated Carrot - ½ cup
- Salt to taste.
- Oil - 2 tablespoon
INGREDIENTS
- Cook little millet rice in a pressure cooker with 2 cups of water, and bay leaf at medium flame for 2 whistles. Millet rice has to cool otherwise it will become mushy.
- Grind mint leaves, coriander leaves,and green chillies with minimum water in a blender and keep it aside.
- In a hot pan, take 1 teaspoon of oil. Add cinnamon stick, clove to it and fry for a minute.
- Add chopped onion and fry till translucent. Add ginger garlic paste.
- Add chopped carrots and stir well, add mint mixture. Cook the mixture till the raw taste of mint and coriander disappears. Add salt to taste.
- Add the cooked little millet rice and mix evenly. Remove from flame.Serve hot with some raita.
