B&B Organics Little millet Noodles is made from organically grown little millet in Tamil Nadu. As in other small millets, it cultivation is restricted to tribal areas and marginal lands.
It is high in fibre and filled with numerous minerals such as potassium, zinc, iron and calcium. It is also packed with the health benefits of vitamin B and works as an antioxidant for your body, once consumed. Little millet is a low glycaemic index food, which is a good source of slow digesting carbohydrates and dietary fibre. It takes longer for glucose to enter the bloodstream and hence blood sugar levels are stable.
Little millet originated in Southeast Asia and is now a days it is grown throughout India, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. Little millet or sama, is a quick growing short duration cereal which withstands both drought and water logging.
Little Millet Noodles contains Little Millet flour and salt alone. First, the ingredients – Litlle Millet flour, oil, and salt are combined. There is no Maida added. Then these ingredients are kneaded together to make a dough and then the dough is rolled out. After this, the rolled dough is cut into thin strips. The noodles are then steamed and packaged after the dehydration process. Dehydration plays an important role in increasing the shelf life of instant noodles.
