Moong dal halwa with jaggery

Ingredients:

  1. Moong dal– 1 cup
  2. B&B Jaggery -½ to ¾ cup
  3. Water -¼ cup
  4. Cardamom powder -1 tbsp
  5. Almonds, Cashewnut & raisins – 2 tbsp
  6. B&B Ghee – ½ cup

Method:

1. Wash and soak moong dal for 2 hours and grind without water.
2. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, add cashews & raisins, roast till light brown, add ½ cup ghee and grounded moong dal mixture and stir.
3. Heat another pan & add jaggery and water, let it melt.
4. Add melted jaggery to the moong dal mixture, mix well & let it cook till the mixture thickens or starts leaving the pan.

Pro tips:

Add cardamom powder & roasted nuts and raisins to level up the taste.
